Excellence in Staffing is at the core of everything that Concerro does. This commitment requires Concerro to bring outstanding contributions and innovation to the world of healthcare staffing.
Defining Excellence
To achieve excellence we must have a definition to measure against. Concerro initiated a collaborative effort with The American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) to define Excellence in Staffing. A group of 50 healthcare and nursing leaders from health service, policy, and research sectors gathered in March 2008 to consider the question of “What is Excellence in Staffing?”. A synthesis of this work and the recommendation put forth will soon be available.
Evidence Based Staffing Model
Bringing evidence to the center of staffing practices has been foundational to the design of Concerro’s work on effective staffing. However an overarching model is needed to further this work and the impact it can have on daily staffing activities. Recognizing the important role of evidence, the group working to define excellence also put forth recommendations for an evidence based staffing framework.
