    Concerro, Inc. is a software company which produces industry leading software products for healthcare.  We are looking for high-quality Java engineers who enjoy challenging assignments, a flexible but demanding work environment, recognition for excellence, and being on a team with other high-caliber people.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • A minimum of 3 years professional Java programming experience.
    • Experience developing on at least one major application server (we use JBoss)
    • Strong knowledge of SQL and JDBC.
    • Experience with JSP & XML.
    • The ability to be productive in a UNIX/Linux environment.
    • The ability to be productive in an Agile development environment.
    • Experience producing technical documentation.
    • 5 years of professional programming experience.
    • Experience with JasperReports a strong plus.
    • Experience with Adobe Flex 3 and ActionScript 3 a strong plus.
    • Experience with MySQL a strong plus.
    • Experience integrating with / interfacing to third party applications a plus.
    • Experience with Ant a plus.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

    A bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related subject) is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates who can demonstrate exceptional skill and/or experience in the field.

    All our qualified applicants are tested on required technical skills and may be asked to give an informal presentation to the engineering team. Presenting your thoughts to your peers is an essential part of this role and will be strongly considered in our selection process.

    • Concerro will provide products that have clear competitive advantages in the market so that customers have a compelling reason to buy;
    • Sales staff will thoroughly understand Concerro’s products and be able to answer high-level technical and business ROI questions about them from prospects;
    • Concerro’s new products will be successfully identified, priced and positioned to meet future goals for growth in the next 2 years;
    • Concerro will understand the workforce management market for healthcare, know the competition and have identified opportunities to dominate viable market segments.

    Position Details:

    • Full time, permanent position
    • Responsibilities include design and implementation of new features for the product.
    • Additional responsibilities include software maintenance, architecture and process improvement, and technical documentation.  
    • The position of Software Engineer reports to the Director of Software Engineering and is open in San Diego.
