    Concerro is looking for a creative, hard-working individual to join its San Diego team as Director of Product Management.

    This position reports to the VP Product Management & Marketing. The Product Management team is comprised of the VP, this Director position, and 2 Product Managers. The Marketing Team includes a Director of Marketing, an Online Marketing Manager, and a Marketing Coordinator all under this same VP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work with an exciting product in a growing market.

    The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    • Manage the individual Product managers to meet quarterly goals and own the Product Road Map;
    • Develop and constantly improve processes to surface innovative product ideas, requirements and requests from other departments, existing customers, and the market-at-large;
    • Monitor the competition and lead the product planning and prioritization process involving Client Services and Engineering;
    • Recommend and identify requirements for incremental releases and new products/services that will eventually be offered;
    • Review of new market opportunities with market analysis and incremental revenue plan for new products and competitive analysis;
    • Manage the pricing, packaging, promotions, and competitive positioning of the Company’s product lines and technical training of the Sales staff;
    • Identification of additional products/services that complement Concerro's core offerings;
    • Prototype and/or seed development with Engineering and Client Services for new products.

    Expectations & Results:

    • Concerro will deliver products that have clear competitive advantages in the market so that customers have a compelling reason to buy;
    • Sales staff will thoroughly understand Concerro’s products, be able to answer high-level technical and business ROI questions about them from prospects, and be able to favorably compare them to competitor products at a deep functional level;
    • Concerro’s new products will be successfully identified, priced, branded and positioned to meet future goals for growth in the next 3 years;
    • Concerro will understand the workforce management market and emergency response for healthcare, know the competition, and have identified opportunities to dominate viable market segments.

    Skills and Experience:

    • 7+ years of progressing product management experience, including success in leading new product introductions, product and market extensions, agile engineering development and product branding;
    • Detailed understanding of U.S. healthcare market, including knowledge of hospitals and healthcare IT systems; an understanding of hospital staffing, scheduling and emergency response; daily functions and operational challenges; business objectives and priorities; and competitive offerings and complementary opportunities;
    • Must be a critical thinker with the ability to research, support, defend, and sell recommendations to senior management and to the organization as a whole.
    • Exceptional writing, planning, time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and commonly used business tools.

    Other Position Requirements:

    • College degree;
    • Team player: ability to work collaboratively to create trusted relationships, manage conflict, and obtain support for recommendations and deliver results in line with quarterly goals;
    • Great attitude: must be passionate about success, authentic, not afraid to step on toes, and willing to do whatever it takes;
    • Must live in San Diego area;
    • Ability and willingness to travel on occasion;
    • Able to work independently, multitask and negotiate rapidly changing priorities;
    • Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary;
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
